As a parent, it’s essential to surround your child with people who will love and support them unconditionally. For many parents, that includes their parents or their child’s grandparents. Grandparents can play an important role in a child’s life, providing love, support, and wisdom that can help them navigate the ups and downs of childhood and beyond.
My kids won the grandparent lottery. They have known nothing but support, love, and adoration from their three living grandparents (not to mention the grands showering all of that on me & Steve).
My mom and my in-laws have been an integral part of our family. Some of their duties include:
- Daycare
- Driver
- Chef
- Nurse
- Personal Assistant
- Life coach
- Travel agents (and the funds)
- Researcher
- Crisis Manager
The list goes on. There has never been a more incredible champion for my kids. The grands give them a softer landing when we are too harsh. The grands come in and button us up when we are letting things go. They provide advice to Steve and me as well as to my children.
