Antonio Brown Busted With 100 MPH Speeding Ticket

Hours before Antonio Brown and the Steelers straight up drilled the Carolina Panthers, Mr. Brown received a ticket in his Porsche for Reckless Driving. Rather than just writing him a straight speeding ticket, the officer upped it to Reckless Driving because the allegation is that Brown was going 100 mph which would put him well over the speed limit.

So it begs the question - what would happen at Kansas City Municipal Court if you were caught going 100 miles per hour? In some cases, I would suggest a client pack their toothbrushes because they are likely to spend some time in jail. In most cases, I work on "cleaning up" the client - getting him or her to take a driving school or participate in community service. It is likely you will get a ticket for more than just speeding in this scenario - in Kansas City Missouri the office can call it "reckless" or "careless driving."

Obviously when negotiating this kind of ticket with the Prosecutor, I use whatever tools are at my disposal (a clean driving record by my client is a good place to start). No Judge or Prosecutor wants to be the one that gave my client a probation that later goes on to kill someone by going too fast on the road. These tickets must be handled delicately and with great care.
